if you havent closed the window yet, and its on internet explorer or soemthing, try hitting the back arrow (or alt and the left arrow) until you get to the e-mail you were typing, copy the e-mail then log back in a pase it.
That worked for me when the same thing happened. I had typed a whole e-mail, and hit send, then it asked me to log in again for privacy reasons.

No, but if you will highlight the body (text) of the email and copy (or control + 'c') next time, you can go back in to compose, paste it back in, and then re-enter the address and re-send. It's a heck of a lot easier than re-composing a message from scratch, takes only a few extra seconds, just requires a little practice to get used to, and will save years of your life lost to time, frustration, and stress.
I started doing this years ago, after losing multiple emails to the problem you're describing.
