email password has been changed by the person who hacked into it. I can't login and have important info I need access to. I have emailed account security 4 times now starting yesterday and have not heard back as I asked them to call me at my home to help me resolve the issue...especially since I can't login to get my emails.

Auto login script to take my users to a group email account?
I am the president of a school club, and I started a club website. It is a forumotion page, so we haven't bought our own domain yet. I would like to create a link in the menu bar to a group email account for my officers to use. I've completed that much, and I have the email address set up but I would like to have a script that will automatically log into the email address for them when they click the link (which only they can see because of special permissions). Or even log into a site which will retrieve the email from the original account (such as Fuser.com). This would make it much easier.
I have tried the following:

if you havent closed the window yet, and its on internet explorer or soemthing, try hitting the back arrow (or alt and the left arrow) until you get to the e-mail you were typing, copy the e-mail then log back in a pase it.

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Javascript to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send recieve delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I have been advised to use this site to view my mail, www.mail2web.com if all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Make sure your screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels. Right click on your desktop, click Properties, click the "Settings" tab, left click and hold on the screen resolution bar and drag it all the way to the right, click Apply and click OK.

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Javascript to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I have been advised to use this site to view my mail, www.mail2web.com if all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out. There is a Server Farm issue with BETA MAIL.and Original Mail.

I believe it will solve MOST all the problems people are having if you Switch Back (click on switch back on top of your inbox on top by your account) to Original Mail, until it is out of the TESTING STAGE. AND IF YOU HAVE IE7 or IE8, uninstall it by going to Start Control Panel/Settings and then Add and Remove Programs. Your IE6 is still installed! Try it and if it doesn't solve your problem just SWITCH BACK TO BETA MAIL!
BETA MEANS TESTING! It lasts for at least 6 months!!!
NOTE: Use BETA software at your own risk; it is intended for testing and evaluation purposes only. Do not install beta software on your primary computer or production environment. That was from Microsoft help pages.

And what's happening to you is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.
I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.
Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo.
Since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch." And again, these problems are not exclusive to Yahoo's Beta, but it does seem to compound the existing problems. This would indicate to me that there are also compatibility issues btwn. the H/W and S/W, besides the server problems.
So it's not anything you're doing, your computer, or your internet connection, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And BTW, deleting temp files (which your computer automatically does anyway every time you shut down your computer), cookies, or history will absolutely NOT fix the problem, nor will running disk cleanup or defrag or a system restore.

just solved my problem which was the same. I run Norton Internet Security, all I had to do was shut it off, then I coud log in and switch back to Yahoo Classic Mail. For some reason norton blocks the NEW MAIL upgrade. Hope this helps! also try turning off ad blockers and pop up blockers

You should get a drop down menu with your latest emails displayed.
Select an email and click it. You then get to a new page about Shortcuts, but just select the button for Mail and it should take you to your Mail page.
It wasn't getting redirected to the shortcuts page on some servers and not going to the mail page.

I can't login on myspace when i changed my email.?
It changed the email, but when i went back to login i couldnt.So i sent my password to my email and wheni checked it my password was different. When i logged in it was like i had a whole new myspace. Why am i getinig a login error of object expected and i cant open my email?
This is probably what you need to do to make Yahoo! Mail Beta work for you. At the top of your screen click Tools %26gt; Internet Options and delete Cookies, Temporary Internet Files, and History. You might also click Start %26gt; All Programs %26gt; Accessories %26gt; System Tools %26gt; Disk Cleanup %26gt; and run Disk Cleanup. It might also be your screen resolution or your version of Internet Explorer or Firefox, make sure you have the latest version and updates. Make sure your screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels. Right click on your desktop, click Properties, click the "Settings" tab, left click and hold on the screen resolution bar and drag it to the right to increase resolution, click Apply and click OK. You could also try signing in to Yahoo! Mail using a different browser.
Yahoo! should get all the bugs worked out soon, in the meantime if the above answer doesn't work, I suggest you switch back to original Yahoo! Mail, you can always switch back to Beta later. If you can't get to your mail page to click "Switch Back" beside Sign Out and My Account, sign in to Yahoo! Mail, on the page with the guy dancing beside the boom box it says "Logging into Yahoo! 1) confirmed: this problem happens when login as more than one diff yahoo ID
2) this problem won't happen in Opera, IE
3) sometimes, click anything inside browser is ok, but sometimes will not ok, very random

I can login from any other computer to yahoo except my own, yet can get into any of my other email accounts?

"SWITCH BACK" BETA MAIL has been f@cking up everyone's e-mail (with log in error ) "LOOK AT THE TOP of the BETA PAGE" next to (SIGN OUT) AND (MY ACCOUNT ) is (SWITCH BACK), click it "OR" Log out or close the Beta Mail, re-open Beta Mail.
IMMEDIATELY when you see the “bouncing ball guy”, click the RED X (STOP) at the top of your screen. This prevents the log on from going any further.
under the "bouncing guy" is a link saying “Trouble Logging In?”. Click it. You will see" SWITCH BACK"

You should get a drop down menu with your latest emails displayed.
Select an email and click it. You then get to a new page about Shortcuts, but just select the button for Mail and it should take you to your Mail page.
It wasn't getting redirected to the shortcuts page on some servers and not going to the mail page.
I hope this helps some until Yahoo! Mail gets a fix for us.

Even though you have a link directly to email, you don't stay logged in to Yahoo indefinitely. If you go to My Account and log in, and then click on Edit in the Member Information area, you can change the length of time you can go between passwords (max is 24 hours). But your link should work fine if you're using it within the timeframe that you set in this area.

Generally you would use the form:

and
smtp.%26lt;your isp name%26gt;.com
in Outlook Express and other email settings. for example, if you are with NTL then it would be:
pop.ntlworld.com
and
smtp.ntlworld.com
But go to your ISP website and check what advice they can give you. No-one is intentionally trying to confuse you :P

To resolve your scripting error just change the Color setting to 256 Color or a higher setting.

But be prepared for them to refuse you. Unless you have dedicated company e-mail, thier Yahoo e-mail is personal and private and none of your business.

ok you know when you turn on the computer and it directs you to the window with all the user accounts that's on the database? well on my msn account i have, i haven't checked the mailbox for days and days... and days, so like 3 days ago it showed that i had over 600 messages unread. so i deleted them once i saw them and the new messages that were being sent to me. it's been like few days since then and when i look at the user accounts it still shows that i had the EXACT same number of messages i had the day i deleted them. What exactly is the problem? is it like my computer's screwed up or sumthing?

I had the same thing happen to me just not msn. so what I did was I deleted all, then went into the delete file and deleted again. It worked for me. Now I do that all the time and it never happens anymore. Sometimes though I noticed that it is a delayed reaction. It goes away.

Why do i get "Login Session Expired" message when i SignOut of email ?
If you sign out of mail and try to access some other site that requires you to be signed into the Yahoo! services then you get that message.

Sorry.... not possible. You have to open them separatly. Log onto one... read your emails, etc., then log off, and log on to the other account. They can't be combined. The only way to open them at the same time would be to open one account with one browser, and the other with a 2nd browser, which doesn't seem worth the trouble.

Have you tried to do a mail merge. You can merge both accounts together. This should allow you to read both accounts at the same time because, they will be merged together. Try it to see if this will solve your problem. Hope this work for you.

Yahoo receives and abuse report ... and RECEIVES A COPY OF THE PAST CHAT SESSION (SCREEN SHOT) , Yahoo has the USA courts legal permission to deactivated or ban accounts ... minor banns can last for 8 hours ......... others years..most times it is only the ID that is banned ........ for major violations it is an IP bann, and deactivation of all accounts. If it was an ID/account that cannot be made anymore, ( a rare ID) and someone from Yahoo see's the account it is deactivated immediately. These IDS/accounts are only available to paying customers.
Non paying and Paying customers as well are often deactivated without warning and reason. Yahoo do not have to tell you ANYTHING, Yahoo owns these accounts we use, not us, this is stated in the TOS, and we accept this fact when you make the accounts. yahoo can do what they want.

It is not considered SPAM because you had an established customer relationship with them at some point and therefore, they are allowed to send you information unless you opt-out of it.

NEVER GIVE YOUR ACCOUNT INFO!
No reputable website will ask for this info via email. In the case of ebay I always forward the spam/fishing email to the officials: in the case of ebay you should forward the letter you recieved to:
spoof@ebay.com
Most major websites have created email accounts to have users like you be able to easily forward such bogus emails to them...often it is:
spoof@(whatever domain name is being targetted)
Be prudent!

I can't get my email and keep getting a beta login error message?
A month ago or so I was experiencing similar problems. I tried every answer people had posted and nothing worked. I had cleared the cache and history, booted into SafeMode with networking to clear all temp files and still couldn't fix the problem.
Because Yahoo Mail Beta is beta software (almost but not quite ready for prime time) they help very little with it. Beta software is basically in testing mode. I'm sure Yahoo is using Answers to guage how well the software is working. Many people post their issues here so they get a good bug report of the software. But, since it is Beta, they have no solutions. They will simply try to fix these bugs when Beta goes into production for everyone.
With all of that said, last month I finally had a chance to switch back to the original version and all is fine now. You cannot change back to the original w/o accessing beta first. I had to do it late at night when Beta was fully working for me at home to find the link to switch back. The link is there AFTER you successfully login to your Beta account.
There is a site you can access to check your Beta mail if you keep getting Page Not Displayed or a blank screen. It is basically text only, but at least you can check your mail. Here is the link: http://wap.oa.yahoo.com
Oh yes, for all of the people pasting that Yahoo phone number for support, it does cost $29.95 to speak to a live person!
